How To Prepare For Emergencies On Your Farm

Prepare your family, farm, livestock, and pets for emergencies on the farm. Emergency, safety, and health issues we will cover: fires, weather & alerts, power outages, water, hazardous materials, threats and civil disturbance, AgrAbility, health & suicide prevention, emergency resources & supplies.

Enjoy Halloween-inspired fun and exciting activities without the fright at Boo Bash, October 22-31. Navigate a straw bale maze, explore a black-light cavern, design a scarecrow family, go on a scavenger hunt, decorate mini pumpkins, watch Dr. Science demos, join the costume parade, and more! Hands On is the premier children’s museum in the PNW. Explore 150 interactive exhibits and a half-acre outdoor play space where kids can ride trikes, sluice for treasure, captain a vintage schooner, climb a giant boulder, and go up the lighthouse lookout.
Sensory-friendly Boo Bash activities will be offered during our regular Sensory Friendly Hour, October 24 & 31 at 9 a.m.

Want to learn to shoot a pistol? Don’t have a pistol? Learn about handguns in this class. I teach grip, stance, sight alignment, follow through, and more. Learn what to look for when you purchase a firearm if you don’t have one. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have them), baseball cap, your firearm and if you don’t have one bring 9 mm Luger/parabellum ammo or .22LR ammo to use in the firearms I have. Preregistration is required as space is limited to 6. There is a $25 non-refundable fee required at registration and balance due at the door. Start a fun holiday tradition with this fun one-day event on Saturday, November 20. Held in a Gorgeous Barn/Event Venue, with all supplies provided to make a wreath! Christmas music throughout the day! All Funds raised for SMA.
Now what to do since Thanksgiving cooking is done. Come take a class on how to use a handgun. Learn the safety rules, how to hold the firearm, how to line up the sights, how to press the trigger and more. Don’t own a firearm, no problem. Learn how to choose the right one for you. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have those), baseball cap, paper to take notes, 9 mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR ammo to try the firearms we have available. Pre-registration required with a non-refundable deposit of $25, balance due at start of class. Space is limited so register early.
