This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.
Pick up a world map and trace your family’s passage from your ancestral homeland to Salkum, with landing points along the way; then share them on display at the Library! Submissions may be posted to library social media.
Speakers on a wide range of topics—join us in learning. Drop in for individual lectures, or register for the series. Contact Centralia College East for the lecture schedule and to register. More details to be announced!
Willamette Valley Wool will be at the store with a trunk show! Lynette has beautiful yarns and fibers!
Two local designers (Jennifer Denney and Rachel McSweeney) will also be at the store with patterns for you to purchase and samples for you to touch and feel. There will be a free knit pattern or a free crochet pattern for you at each store.
There will be a $35 gift certificate given away each day of the yarn crawl at each store. If you go to all 8 stores, you will receive a “finishing” prize and be entered for an additional $100 gift certificate (drawing to be held on Monday, Oct 2).

Join us as we learn about “Analyzing your social media” a continuation from our last class. In this class, you will have access to a Chromebook where you can have hands-on training and learn about how to use Facebook’s “insights”.
