Please be sure to include the following items. We cannot approve a post that does not contain AT LEAST:
- A start date AND time (Time is added by checking the “add time” box AFTER you select a date. An end time is helpful for readers but not necessary)
- A Location (including the name of venue and address)
- A brief description (no more than two short paragraphs)
- A link to a website
A picture always makes your posts more appealing to your audience so we highly suggest one, but it is not necessary.
Once you submit it, your event has to be approved by an editor. Please allow 2-3 days for this. Any questions can be sent to submit@lewistalk.com.
Our Summit to Swamp Obstacle Mud Run is FREE this year. Come for the day. Bring your family and friends. Bring something for a potluck if you like. Enjoy a bonfire and music. Make new friends.

Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible. Join us on Saturday, December 4 at noon at the Adna Grocery and from 3-6 p.m. at Back Memorial Park where we are celebrating the holidays with music (provided by Adna Schools), a Lion’s Club food drive, visits from Santa and, of course, a tree lighting!
Santa is scheduled to fly in by helicopter at Adna Grocery at 12 p.m. (weather permitting). He will also arrive at 3 p.m. for more visits at Back Memorial Park.
After months of social distancing and COVID precautions, we hope to safely bring the community together outdoors with this event. This is a great time to gather, with goodwill and celebrate the season! Dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if needed.

Give a unique gift of firearms training to the women in your life. No pistol, no problem, I have several you can try. Just need them to bring 9mm Luger and/or .22LR. Learn the basics of what to look for when purchasing a handgun, how to hold the pistol, how to stand while shooting, how to aim, what may or may not be considered self-defense and more. Bring to class your firearm if you have one, proper ammo for it, eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have either of those) and a baseball cap. Cost is $75 with a non-refundable preregistration fee of $25, leaving a balance due at the door of $50. Call Dolly at 360-978-4338 to register or get your questions answered.
Come learn about basic pistol shooting. Safety rules, grip, stance, sight alignment and more. Now is the time to overcome the fear of firearms. If you do not own a firearm that is not a problem. Just bring a box of 9mm Luger and/or a box of .22LR and you can try the different ones I have available. Bring your firearm, appropriate ammo for that firearm, eye/ear protection (I have some to loan of those as well) and a baseball cap.
