This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Learn how a pistol functions, how to load one, how to grip it, stand, sight alignment and press the trigger. We will touch on what is considered self-defense and what isn’t. You do not have to own a pistol to take this class. Come and learn what to take into consideration when purchasing your first firearm. I have several different sizes of handguns to try on for size. The fee for this class is $75 which includes a $25 non-refundable deposit, balance due at the door. Class size is limited to 6 so preregistration is a must. If there is not at least 3 registered for this class it will be rescheduled, so please register early to reserve your spot. Bring your firearm if you have one, if not, bring a box of 9mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR to use in the firearms I have. If you work weekends and have wanted to take a class, this one is for you. If you do not own a pistol, one will be provided, just bring a box of 9mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR (long rifle) ammo. To register for this class call Dolly at 360-978-4338. Fee for the class is $85 which includes a $30 non-refundable preregistration fee and balance due at the start of class. Class size is limited to six attendees so register soon. What you will need to bring to participate in the class will be shared with you when you register.
Dress up in your favorite costumes and bring your little ghosts, dinos, superheroes, and princesses to the Hands On Children’s Museum for a spooktacular good time. Enjoy Halloween-inspired fun and exciting activities without the fright.

• Press, grind, and smash seeds and grain
• Go on a scavenger hunt
• Silkscreen a treat bag (for an additional fee)
• Join the costume dance party

Special Boo Bash activities for families of children with sensory sensitivities will be available October 23 & 30 during our normal Sensory Friendly Hour (9-10 a.m.). A sensory friendly room is also available Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. during Boo Bash.
