Stitches of Love will be in the 4-H Hall building at the Country Chicks event held at the Southwest Washington Fair Grounds. Stop by to make a pillowcase for a child in foster care. Lunafest is a festival of films by, for and about women. Films are provided by Lunabar Company. This showing is organized by Lewis County Branch of American Association of University Women. Proceeds will benefit Human Response Network and local scholarships for women. Before the showing, attendees can enjoy complimentary appetizers and purchase raffle tickets for an assortment of baskets and other items.

The Borsts and other families built a “New Church” in c. 1872 … to gather together in fellowship and for weddings. Two of the Borst children were married in that church. As well as many other life events. Etta Keller, Reenactor has made a lovely mid-19th century wedding dress and will talk about weddings in that day. Miss Etta will lead the talk.
