The Ashtanga Primary Series 90-Minute Class experience is the one that started it all and has influenced the modern yoga that is most commonly practiced today. Ashtanga is a systematic sequence of predetermined flowing postures linked together with the breath. It is a dynamic practice designed to increase strength, flexibility and endurance.

Come for an exhibit of paintings by Robert Chamberlain illustrating marine activity of Washington’s ports, yesterday and today. They take the viewer from the Columbia, up the coast, through the Straits, and down Puget Sound to Olympia. Award-winning watercolorist Robert Chamberlain, now age 87, created “Sylvester’s Window,” on display at the Olympia Timberland Library, and “Timber!,” a 75-piece collection exhibited at the Washington State Historical Museum in Tacoma.

This program is part of a year-long series of book discussions exploring black history and culture to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of African American pioneer George Washington, who, together with his wife Mary Jane, founded the City of Centralia in 1875.
