This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

Take a tour with friends to tour a productive organic farm with conserved land bordering the Chehalis River. The farm activities, chickens, pigs, young farmers will be our stars. The lands, timber and wildlife habitat will also be discussed.
Growing fresh produce and meats for the local community, offering young entrepreneurs a place to learn and conserving our land and water all happens here. Come see for yourself!

Join us for musically inspired events. We’ll have fun with music, dancing and bubbles! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library. This event is part of the Summer Library Program, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
The Southwest Washington Fair is August 14 to 19. This year’s theme is A Touch of Country. The event promises to be full of fun in the sun with music aplenty, tons of yummy food and shows galore. There’s so much to do and see between rides at the carnival.
South side Throwers are meeting together for a yo yo meet!!! This yo yo club wants anyone with any skill toy to show!! Spin tops, yo yo, Kendamas, begleri, Tregleri.. come hang out with kids who love skill toys!!!
Enjoy stories, songs and movement games that are especially welcoming to children on the autism spectrum or with other special needs. You’ll enjoy a safe, non-judgmental environment, a schedule board for following along and a sensory-sensitive environment. This is an early learning program.

Unleash your inner engineer! Spend a morning imagining, building, stacking and playing at the library. Create with LEGO® bricks, connecting straws, blocks and other interactive toys. Drop in or stay the whole time.
Writers, prepare to be inspired! Novelists, poets, essayists, zinesters, songwriters, and bloggers are invited to join the Teen Writing Group. This ongoing monthly workshop offers the chance to share your writing, get feedback, learn about writing techniques and most importantly, be inspired to write. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.

School of the Arts is focused on developing well rounded actors by offering opportunities for youth to develop their acting, singing and movement skills through classes, workshops and productions. This fall we will be offering a 10-week session of classes and an end of session Showcase. Classes start Sept 13, 2018. The Showcase for friends and family will be in November. Students will receive training from qualified instructors in a small group setting.
