This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

Choose to make a free Mother’s Day card (May 7-14, 11am-3pm), or purchase a craft for your child to make (2 Weekends: Friday-Sunday, May 5-7 & May 12-14, 2017. Friday & Saturdays run 11am-3pm, Sundays run 12-3pm). May 5-7 we’ll be making painted canvases ($6) and May 12-14 we’ll be making twisted sculptures and beaded trees.
Get your road bikes ready for May 13 and make your way to Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis for the ride, which offers four route options. Easy 20 and 40 mile routes are offered, along with moderate 68 and 100-mile routes. All routes take you through some of Lewis County’s prime back roads and offer views of some natural wonders, wildlife, farm life and more.

In addition to its regular dinner train runs, the railroad offers an annual Mother’s Day Brunch Train. While riding 18-miles roundtrip in a refurbished 1920s dining car, patrons will enjoy a vintage dining-by-rail experience, complete with white linen tablecloths, full china, and impeccable wait staff.
