This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Watch the Destruction Derby as you warm up for the fireworks show after dusk.
Events include the annual I Ran From the Cops run/walk, free pancake breakfast at Fort Borst Park, demolition derby at the Fairgrounds, and more. Hay rides, a cribbage tournament and historical military display round out the activities for the entire family.
The evening ends with a fireworks celebration at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.
The show lasts roughly 30 minutes. Spectators can park at the school. No personal fireworks are allowed on school grounds.

Power of the Purse is a unique fundraising event accessorized with all the things women love – purses, accessories, spa packages, weekend getaways and more! It also signifies a social collaboration of women from all walks of life, coming together to commemorate the importance of women’s leadership and celebrating the power of women’s philanthropy and success in our community.
The community is invited to the Thurston Lewis Mason Central Labor Council’s annual Labor Day Picnic, to be held at George Washington Park in the middle of Centralia.
This is an open and free event for everyone, whether you’re visiting downtown from afar, live in Centralia or just want to stop in and say hello. Live music, food and more are all on the schedule. Guests may want to bring a chair or table, as seating is very limited at the park.
For the past 26 years, the lush fairways of Riverside Golf Club in Chehalis have been the sight of the United Way of Lewis County Golf Tournament. This popular event includes green fees, range balls, a golf cart, a team photo, hot dog lunch, and a delicious barbecue dinner following the tournament, provided by Country Cousins Restaurant.
