This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

A Pioneer Church is being built as part of the Borst Pioneer Village which includes the Borst mansion, historic gardens, and Pioneer schoolhouse. Proceeds from this dessert auction will help build the Pioneer Church. Bring a lawn chair and listen to some great music, then bid on the yummy desserts in the auction. Help support the building of the Borst Pioneer Church.
The community is invited to the Thurston Lewis Mason Central Labor Council’s annual Labor Day Picnic, to be held at George Washington Park in the middle of Centralia.
This is an open and free event for everyone, whether you’re visiting downtown from afar, live in Centralia or just want to stop in and say hello. Live music, food and more are all on the schedule. Guests may want to bring a chair or table, as seating is very limited at the park.
Join the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust for a work party at Discovery Trail! We have over 400 new plantings that need a bit of help beating the summer weed growth. We have tools and gloves, but bring water and hats!

A twist on the traditional pumpkin, in this workshop you’ll learn to make unique and adorable pumpkins covered in orange curly silky soft mohair locks, topped with a green stem hat. Something more of a Pumpkin Gnome, or Gnome-o-Lantern? Whatever you call them, they are pure fun!
All the wool you will need is supplied. Bring your favorite felting needles and a felting pad. Other color options will be available.
For children ages 6-18. Prepare a short monologue, song and dance. We will provide these for you if necessary. Everyone who registers will be cast. Jr. Tech instruction is available for children age 11 & up.
Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.
Join the Destination Packwood Association and businesses all around Packwood for the first-ever Oktoberfest in Packwood. Live music, food, and of course Beer will be among the offerings at Oktoberfest — and there will also be entertainment, vendors, games and much more.
