This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
The Southwest Washington Fair is August 14 to 19. This year’s theme is A Touch of Country. The event promises to be full of fun in the sun with music aplenty, tons of yummy food and shows galore. There’s so much to do and see between rides at the carnival.
Enjoy stories, songs and movement games that are especially welcoming to children on the autism spectrum or with other special needs. You’ll enjoy a safe, non-judgmental environment, a schedule board for following along and a sensory-sensitive environment. This is an early learning program.
Midnight Rider on August 25 is for horse lovers. Under a full moon, night ride on a romantic seven-mile trail or test your endurance with a thirty-mile ride on the Willapa Hills Trail.
Support and education meeting for parents, friends, and family of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people.
Unleash your inner engineer! Spend a morning imagining, building, stacking and playing at the library. Create with LEGO® bricks, connecting straws, blocks and other interactive toys. Drop in or stay the whole time.
Meet with others who have dealt with or have a family member with breast cancer.
Writers, prepare to be inspired! Novelists, poets, essayists, zinesters, songwriters, and bloggers are invited to join the Teen Writing Group. This ongoing monthly workshop offers the chance to share your writing, get feedback, learn about writing techniques and most importantly, be inspired to write. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.
