Deepen your self-healing skills as Siere guides you on a somatic journey through ‘Moving to Heal’s’ 7 cycles of Self-Healing.
Learn how to adapt and personalize movements to fit your body’s way of self-healing. Drawing from the rich landscape of each cycle you will explore the dynamics between sensation-based movement and the art of feeling better. Receive tips and practices designed to increase self-healing in your life, work, play and dance.
This workshop is open to everybody and is suitable for those living with long or short term illness as well as those who simply desire to connect with the restorative movement of Nia as a healing art.

Siere Munro, Nia Black Belt,Training Faculty Member, has been leading people through movement for over 25 years. Her background is in healing arts, expressive arts and fitness coupled with a passion for music and choreography. Siere has also lent her expertise to Nia Headquarters, launching two brand-new Nia Programs: Moving to Heal (MTH) and FreeDance. Siere teaches MTH and FreeDance in her home city Portland, Oregon. This class is based on the Nia technique, emphasizing soft music and simple choreography that invites you to drop-in to your body and relax your nervous system in a supportive atmosphere of safety and trust. Personalize the movements while focusing on pleasure, resulting in improved overall feelings of wellness regardless of current physical/medical condition. Classes are designed to meet the needs of those diagnosed with long-term or chronic illness and mobility limitations as well as individuals with short-terms personal healing goals for body, mind and emotions. Drama makes for an interesting life, but too much drama? Not so much! Life Skills for Teens will help you (or your teen) build a life with unwanted drama. This fun group will gather to discuss those topics that can make life difficult, providing information, tools, and experiences that can smooth the road in front of you.
Topics will include healthy relationships and warning signs of dangerous relationships, safety and risk with social media, safer sex and abstinence, consent and setting boundaries, handling break-ups and much more!

Join Britta von Tagen for the ‘Art of Breathing,’ a Nia workshop that will teach you to use belly breath and other methods to find comfort and relaxation in your body and mind.

Free and fun introduction to square dancing. A chance to get out and get moving. You’ll be dancing right away. Good exercise for body and brain in a friendly atmosphere. No experience necessary. This social, family-friendly class gets your body and mind moving in a fun atmosphere. By the end of ten weeks you will have learned the basics of modern square dancing – the same moves used in thousands of square dance club dances and dance events throughout the world. You’ll be dancing at the very first lesson. Couples, families and singles are all welcome. First lesson is Monday, February 20. Sponsored by Olympia Area Square Dancers.

This free forum will offer separate presentations for adults and youth. The adults will learn about current marijuana laws, marketing strategies, and discuss risks to youth. The youth will learn about laws pertaining to them and dangers associated with marijuana use. this forum will provide an opportunity to get facts and ask questions. There will be refreshments provided.
Our season starts on the first Thursday after St. Patrick’s Day and then meets every Thursday until the last Thursday before Halloween. We meet at 6pm at O’Blarney’s Irish Pub in downtown Centralia to begin our weekly run. We will have 6-8 different routes which we will alternate throughout the year. We end our run at O’Blarney’s to enjoy great food and some social time before we all embark on our respective Fridays!
