The purpose of Centralia’s Historic Preservation Commission is to provide for the identification, evaluation, designation, and protection of designated historic and prehistoric resources within the boundaries of Centralia. The commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month in the Council Chambers at 118 West Maple.
Gardening for Everyone! Classes cover subjects such as Small Fruits; Beginning Gardening/ Weed Management While Protecting Pollinators; Landscaping on a Budget; Organic Gardening; Grape Selection, Pruning & Care; Vertebrate Pests, Rain Barrels; and Succession Planting a Vegetable Garden.

The city council’s regular meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Otherwise, city councilors do not keep regular office hours at city hall. Please call to arrange an appointment.
The City Council provides elected representation of the citizenry in the governing body. The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month (7 p.m. at City Hall) to approve expenditures of funds and set public policy for the community, with the primary criteria being the safety, health, and general welfare of the community.
