Come see the Cowlitz Prairie Grange’s annual Threshing Bee Aug. 26-27, 2017 just north of Toledo for a fun glimpse into the machinery of yesteryear! It’s one of the largest gatherings of its type around, and this event is now entering its second half-century, bringing people from around the region and beyond to enjoy some old-fashioned fun.
Threshing grain will take place every hour on the hour with an antique separator. A tractor pull will include 150 tractors, and more than 100 antique and craft vendors will be on site.
A corn stand will be available, and breakfast and dinner will be available both days.
Several blocks of downtown Centralia turn into a showcase of well-kept cars, trucks and other vehicles, and crowds number in the hundreds to thousands that pass through to see all there is to offer.
Garlic beer. Garlic smoked brisket. Garlic gorgonzola fries. Garlic butter. Everything garlic is honored at this festival that has grown exponentially over the years! Several bands will grace the stages at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds to entertain the throngs of garlic lovers at the unique festival. Local chefs will also demo how to cook succulent recipes with garlic, and vendors will arrive by the dozen to offer more food than you could possibly choose from.

Sacred Harp is a style of choral music that utilizes shape notes and harmonies. Singings bring together people from all around, and visitors are welcome to join either as singers or just simply to listen. Dinner will be served.
