Participants who call (360)740-1216 and pre-register by 5 p.m. Sept. 9, will have a free compost bin reserved for them. (One bin per family please.)

Oct 12 @ 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Casino Royale Gala, Providence Centralia Hospital’s 2019 Gala Dinner & Auction, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 5:00 – 9:30 p.m. at the Jester Auto Museum & Event Center in Chehalis. The Gala Dinner & Auction is Providence Health Care Foundation’s largest event fundraiser of the year and includes a champagne hour with auto museum viewing, silent and live auction, dessert dash, wine grab, and live dance music by the Bruce Maier Band.

Funds raised will support the purchase of an E-ICU unit. An Electronic Intensive Care Unit is a form of telemedicine that uses state of the art technology to provide an additional layer of critical care services. It is a supplement – not a replacement – to the beside team, offering support and delivering need-to-know information to caregivers, empowering them to care for their patients who need it most in the moments that matter most.

Advance reservations required. Reservations are $100 per person and tables can seat up to 8 guests. For more information, to make a donation or to purchase your reservations, please call (360) 827-7940. We hope to see you there!

Washington’s Undiscovered Feminists @ Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library
Oct 19 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, remember some of the remarkable, but often unsung, women of the Pacific Northwest.

Writer Mayumi Tsutakawa presents five “woman warriors” in the arts and journalism whose inspiring stories reach back to the early years of our region. Meet the pioneering photographer Imogen Cunningham, Black American jazz musician Ruby Bishop, Chinese American artist Priscilla Chong Jue, Leftist journalist Anna Louise Strong, and Native American linguist Vi Hilbert. Drawing on her own experience as an activist and writer, she explores how these women inspired others and changed our state and our society.
