Join storyteller and Quinault Tribal Ambassador Harvest Moon to hear tales from the Northwest Coast Indian tradition. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, featuring “There There” by Tommy Orange and Native Voices, focused on Indigenous Peoples history and culture.

Make your own boat and test out its sea-worthiness in our fountain! Younger children will enjoy testing objects at our sink or float station.
Living Historian Beverly York will present Friendship Quilts, how the pioneers moving west would take a part of their friends and family history with them. Volunteer Coordinator Sara Light-Waller will show how to put a signature on the quilt block, as they did in the mid-19th century.
Bring a favorite stuffed toy for a sleepover at the library, arrive by 5:30 p.m. Tuck your friend in and say goodnight. Come back the next day after 10:00 a.m. to pick up your friend and find out what mischief everyone got into during their night at the library. Photos will be posted on the Chehalis Timberland Library Facebook page. This is an early learning program. For children ages 3-11.
