The Borsts and other families built a “New Church” in c. 1872 … to gather together in fellowship and for weddings. Two of the Borst children were married in that church. As well as many other life events. Etta Keller, Reenactor has made a lovely mid-19th century wedding dress and will talk about weddings in that day. Miss Etta will lead the talk.
Join professional artist, Chiyo Sanada, for a beginning class in Sumi-e Painting and Japanese Calligraphy. Expand your creativity by trying your hand at this beautiful artform. Space is very limited, reservations required – so be sure to register early. Registration begins May 25th.

Mary Borst had a lovely, in that day, very modern cook stove. Joseph also built her a state of the art pantry, which kept things cool ~ one of my personal favorites in the house.
