About Katie: As a lifelong athlete, figure skater and long distance runner, Katie started practicing yoga in 2009 as a way to supplement her marathon training. Though finishing the race was the goal, yoga was the gift, and she quickly fell into a regular daily practice. Yoga felt natural in her body and it had brought back fund memories of her figure skating days, in a way that running never did. She completed a 200 hour teacher training in 2012 and immediately started teaching. After all the years of being coached and instructed, it was easy for Katie to slip into the roll of instructor. Very quickly she became known for her signature style of easy to follow alignment cues, mindful sequencing and making her classes accessible for all levels.
