Burgers and Brew: A Fundraiser Supporting Adna Senior Class of 2025 @ Bub’s Pub Sports Bar and Grill

Join the parents of the Adna Senior Class of 2025 in raising funds to support the Safe and Sober Night after graduation! On September 21 from 4 to 6 p.m., Bub’s Pub in Centralia will be serving up their delicious burger baskets complete with fresh-cut fries and a pint of beer (domestic or microbrew) for just $20. Ten dollars of the meal will go to fund the Adna Class of 2025’s Safe and Sober Night.

Along with the burgers and brew, be sure to bring cash or card for the live auction and 50/50 raffle. Bid on donated items from local business owners, including a 30-minute session with Kopper Mohney Photography, coffee for a month from Skull and Crossbones Coffee, a load of rock within ten miles for delivery from Dunnagen Development, a basket of fireworks worth $300, Seahawks tickets and so much more.

Tree Planting Work Party with the Chehalis Land Trust @ Chehalis River Discovery Trail

Every winter, the Chehalis Land Trust Team plants over 50 trees along the river at Discovery Trail to help support the reinvigoration of this critical habitat!

Please join our November 30th Work party at Chehalis River Discovery Trail to prepare the planting sites for the Winter 2024 tree group.

Work will include removing invasive thistles, invasive canary grass, scouting tree locations, learning tree species, and digging and planting trees.

The hike to our planting site is about 1/2 mile or less. Garden tools will be provided, but if you have gloves and other tools and gear you enjoy using feel free to bring those along!

Join us for a lovely potluck celebrating local food grown and preserved by hard-working farmers and community members. Music by Prairie Fire.

Our preservation dinner aims to complement the lively fall harvest dinners that happen in the community. In late winter as we emerge from the cold, dark weather, we can remember the fruits of our labor as we savor preserved goods from our abundant summer and fall harvests. We can celebrate the continuation of the cycle of life that connects us all. We want to offer an evening to showcase local food, nutrition programs, and farmer opportunities. Farming is connection to community eating, health, and environmental sustainability. Please come and see what is happening in our community and share what you may be doing as well.

Calling all producers, growers, grocers, markets, local food banks, food access programs, chefs & restaurants focusing on local produce, community & school gardens, folks who simply love delicious food grown with heart. Kids are welcome. Join us, and let’s unite our missions!

Hear from the Lewis County and Centralia Stream Teams, Lewis County Noxious Weed Board, Centralia Clean Team and the City of Centralia on topics like composting, stream restoration, community clean-ups and how YOU can get involved in local environmental stewardship.
