This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Each February we promote healthy smiles by joining with our dental community to offer free dental screenings right inside the Museum! Kids can pretend to be the dentist in our Puget Sound Dental Office exhibit and meet special guests like Amazon of Olympia, Batman in Seattle, and Tinker Fairy. Lewis County youth from 6th to 12th grades are invited to compete in the Southwest Washington High School and Middle School Chess Championships. The chess tournament, a Regional State Qualifier, will be held Saturday, February 4 at Centralia College. Entry is free, and chess players of all abilities are welcome. Women learning to shoot pistols taught by a woman. Want to learn the basics, i.e. how to grip the firearm, load the firearm, how to use the sights, and how to press the trigger among other issues with firearms? Do you know when to shoot and when not to? Come and learn basics of handling firearms. Education helps keep you safe. If you do not own a firearm, that is not a problem.
