Centralia Summerfest 2025

Celebrating 150 years of the Centralia community, Summerfest 2025 features all-day, family-friendly fun. Kick off the holiday with a pay-what-you-can pancake breakfast from 8 until 10 a.m. at Centralia College’s Trans Alta Commons as a fundraiser for Centralia Rotary.

Burn off the pancakes with the free 5K sponsored by Run Amok Irish Running Club at 8:30 a.m. at The Centralia College Clock Tower. All skill levels are welcome, and runners are invited to bring canned food donations for the Centralia College Food Pantry.

From 10 a.m.-12 p.m., kids can have a blast with field activities at Centralia College’s Bob Peters Field, featuring an obstacle course, sports activities, bubbles and more! Join the Rockwood Scavenger Hunt by picking up a scavenger card at the CDA booths, either at George Washington Park or Pine Street Plaza.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., food vendors will be located downtown, across from the Pine Street Plaza, offering a variety of tasty treats and delicious drinks for the day, in addition to downtown shopping and dining.

From 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Cooks Hill Community Church will host family-friendly activities in George Washington Park, located in front of the Centralia Timberland Library, including a scavenger hunt, rubber chicken games, crafts, and more. Hear live music by Grooveyard throughout the event.

At 4 p.m., the historic downtown area is set to come alive with the annual Summerfest parade, featuring patriotic floats, marching bands, cool cars, and much more.

Fireworks Are Back This 4th of July – Thanks to GESA Credit Union!

The sky over Centralia will sparkle once again this Independence Day! With generous support from GESA Credit Union, the 4th of July Fireworks Show is officially returning and will light up the night at 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th, from the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.

The show will be professionally executed by Wolverine West Fireworks, promising a vibrant and safe display for all to enjoy. While the fairgrounds will be closed to the public, the fireworks will be visible for miles, providing a stunning show for viewers across the region.

The Centralia Downtown Association reminds the community that personal fireworks are strictly prohibited in private lots, roadsides, or public areas surrounding the fairgrounds. These restrictions are in place to protect neighborhoods, prevent fire hazards, and ensure the professional show can be enjoyed safely by all.

Celebrate the 4th with family, friends, and a beautiful night sky – and help us keep the tradition alive with safety and respect.
