If you know a cancer survivor, caregiver or family member who might benefit from a day of honor, have them sign up for the Providence Regional Cancer System Cancer Survivor Celebration, set for Saturday, June 7, 2025, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Saint Martin’s University Worthington Conference Center.

You do not have to be a Providence patient to attend. To register visit the Providence website. For questions or to register by phone, please call 360.412.8951. The event is free, but registration is required.
“We are proud to present our survivorship event for the 11th time,” said Providence South Puget Sound Senior Director of Oncology Services Ryan Moore. “This event has produced incredible memories and stories.”
The celebration, put on through support from the Providence Southwest Washington Foundation, will include physician and patient panels and informative sessions about nutrition, emotional adjustment, genetic counseling, and more.
The keynote speaker for 2025 is Sarah McDonald, a survivor of salivary gland and breast cancer. Sarah shares her experiences through stories that are both heart-wrenching and at times humorous.
Her narratives about career and fertility journeys, disrupted by unexpected cancer diagnoses within the same year, aim to offer hope and laughter to those diagnosed with life threatening diseases.
If you are a cancer patient, you might think of Sarah as your advocate – encouraging and educating those around you on how they might best support you.
