The current projection for the Skookumchuck River at Centralia shows that the water level is going to be two feet higher than the 1996 level (current record). That peak level is predicted for 10 a.m. on January 7.
The peak prediction is nine feet higher than the level was at 1:00 p.m. today (shown in graph). That means more water is coming.
Assess the situation and take the necessary steps to keep yourself and your family safe, especially if you are already seeing water near your home or current location.
Turn around, don’t drown.
