Would you like to hang out at the Capital Mall in Olympia? You could enjoy a nice dinner in the food court or one of the nearby restaurants. You could even catch a movie at the mall’s theater. Sound like fun? Well then, we have some great news! You can do this and more without fighting the traffic and searching for parking with Twin Transit’s Olympia line!
Simply hop on Twin Transit and connect with Intercity Transit to get to Capital Mall. First, you catch the bus to Olympia from Centralia’s Mellen Street e-Transit Station on the “Green Line.” This is an express route that makes a quick stop at the Tumwater Transit Hub near the L&I building before heading to the Olympia Downtown Transit Station. The ride only takes about 40 minutes. The Green Line runs every 90 minutes, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday (weekdays only). The trip costs $4 per day or $40 per month. Twin Transit drivers take a lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., so you’ll want to take that into account when planning your journey.
Once you have arrived at the Olympia Transit Center, hop onto Intercity Transit bus number 48, which is free to ride. Bus 48 will make about ten stops, taking about ten minutes, then you’ll be within a quick one-minute walk from the mall. In total, you can go from Centralia to Olympia’s Capital Mall in under an hour!
