Are you ready for Thanksgiving? It’s a time to enjoy the company of family and friends. But for the host, it can also mean days of meal planning, hours of cooking and then of course the dreaded cleanup. This year, we should let the focus be on enjoying the presence of one another, and not on the cooking and clean-up that are the backbone of the festivities. Sound like a dream? It’s not! You can order a Thanksgiving dinner, hot and ready-to-eat, from Bayview Catering, inside of Bayview Thriftway.

This Thanksgiving, Bayview Catering is offering two different options for hot, ready-to-eat, and downright delicious meals. The meals are the same, but this year there are two different options available, a larger meal that feeds 8-10 people, and now individual meals that are a single serving.

Kelly Young, Bayview Catering’s manager and Stormans employee of almost 30 years, says it’s nice to be able to offer the individual hot meals to-go. Or maybe even not to-go, as she points out because atop Bayview Thriftway is a great seating area where diners are welcome, even on holidays, to enjoy their food with a panoramic view overlooking the bay.

A lot of stores offer holiday meals to-go, Young explains, but what sets Bayview apart is that their meals are hot. It’s not a take home and reheat meal, it’s a take home and eat meal.

On the Menu

Both versions, the large and individually-sized meals come with the same delicious main dish of turkey and delectable sides, the only difference being that the larger family meal comes with a whole roasted (uncarved) 8- to 10-pound turkey, whereas the individual portion comes with a big slice of turkey. There are mashed potatoes with gravy, herbed bread stuffing, and fresh green beans almondine. Top it off with a tangy and sweet cranberry and orange relish, and warm, freshly-baked potato rolls with butter.

Also within Bayview Thriftway is a bakery, and Kelly says they have awesome pies available in all of the classics, including pumpkin, apple, pecan and more. Picking up a dessert from the bakery is a great way to round out your holiday meal. It’s a slice you could eat with your feet up, and not while you clean up. Imagine the possibilities!

Another fan favorite in the dessert category is the homemade fudge available from the bakery. A plate of that out on the table would be sure to disappear quickly.

Catered to You!

For additional ways to round out your table this year, check out Bayview Catering’s website where they have a smorgasbord of options for trays filled with toasts, spreads and dips, hot and cold hor d’oeuvres, meats and cheeses, veggies, and more.

For groups of 12 people or more, there’s the option of the Traditional Holiday Buffet, which is similar to the turkey meal being offered, yet there are more choices available in both the mains and sides categories.

Perhaps one of the best things about catered meals is that they are catered to you, so there are many customizable options. Most diets and preferences can be accommodated, and the main thing is to get in touch with Bayview Catering staff so they can start designing a meal or appetizers that work for you.
