“It’s easy to disassociate the mouth from the rest of whole body health, but research is increasingly showing that oral health, or lack of, can have a very real and measurable effect on whole body health,” says Dr. Ryan LeMert of Randle Dental Clinic.
Randle harbors a secret. For those who are lucky enough to live in that idyllic and rural setting, there is no compromise when it comes to getting high quality dental care. Since assuming the business in 2012, the doctor at the Randle Dental Clinic, Dr. Ryan LeMert, has made it his mission to bring the best care to the people of this rural hamlet at a lower cost than his urban counterparts often charge.
Drawn to the area by its beauty and community, Dr. LeMert has found that Randle is a wonderful place to practice dentistry.
“The sense of community that exists out here pleasantly surprised me. People take an active interest in each other and actually care about one another. We felt welcome from the first day here. I found myself immediately taking on this same attitude.”
Dr. LeMert and his wife Gena, a registered dental hygienist, joined the community of Randle after living in many different places. He’s lived in large cities and small towns and everything in between, but felt most at home in places with smaller populations. He and his wife are avid outdoor people so east Lewis County offered an extra bonus in that department.
The former owner of Randle Dental Health, Dr. Craig Uren, had started and built the practice over the course of 30 years. The practice started small and little by little Uren expanded operations to include four chairs. It was from Dr. Uren that the LeMerts bought the practice.

Dr. LeMert has not stopped growing the practice since he has taken over. “We offer everything that a big city practice offers, but without the drive. I have found it easy to connect with patients because we all share the bond of living in the same rural place. Choosing to live in a rural environment says something about an individual and how they choose to live life,” says LeMert.
Dr. LeMert is proud of the team he has assembled at the Randle Dental Clinic. “We have a total of ten people that are the heart and soul of what we do. We have excellent well-trained staff that just so happen to be fun to work with as well. I think patients see this too.” Because of the size of the community and the nature of living and working in a small town, the staff often already knows the patient.
Being enthusiastic about the community does not end with the walls of the Randle Dental Clinic. Dr. LeMert and his amazing support staff work hard to support the community.
“We are broad supporters of anything and everything that is related to the local schools. This has taken the form of supporting multiple sports teams each year,” says LeMert.
“We donate to help fund scholarships for graduating seniors.” He adds that they have donated dental products to the schools as well. “I think they have started to figure out that I will always give something to the cause. Schools build communities and I want to be a part of that.”
The opportunity to work with such an excellent staff isn’t the only thing that benefits the patients at Randle Dental Clinic. The range of services available at Randle Dental Clinic is more complete than that of many other practices in the region.
“We offer the full range of dental services,” he adds. “I think it’s easy to assume that you have to go to the city for services like dental, but that is not the case here. We adhere to a very high standard of care and take that very seriously. We are trained just like other dentists and hygienists the only difference being that we choose to work out here because there is a real need in this end of Lewis County and we love living here.”
