Lewis County Public Health & Social Services (LCPHSS) announced August 8 that 10 more Lewis County residents have tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of Lewis County residents who have tested positive to 231.

Two of the 10 new patients are in their 20s, three are in their 30s, one is in their 50s, one is in their 70s, and three are in their 80s. One of these 10 is hospitalized today, bringing the number who have been hospitalized at some time in their illness to 26. No new recoveries have been identified. Three of the 231 total patients have died.

Eight of these 10 new patients live in County Commissioner District #1, the other two live in District #2. New case totals by Commissioner district are:

No new overall testing data was available from the Washington State Department of Health today. As of its last report, 6,393 Lewis County residents have been tested for COVID-19.
