This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
In this hands-on camp, campers will explore different parts of the world, learning a little about the diverse culture and customs of other countries. We will spend time listening to traditional music, as well as creating our own version of their traditional instruments to take home, such as rain sticks, maracas, guiros and gongs.
Join us for our annual Open House at School of the Arts. Tour our 102-year-old building that includes Liberty Theater, classrooms and dance studios. Art projects, music and mini-workshops will be offered. Plus the opportunity to register early for fall classes at School of the Arts and Centralia Ballet Academy.
Join Caleb Rogers and Bob Bixler for a fun workshop that includes group instruction and finishes with a mini jam. This workshop is geared towards the beginner with either instrument. Please bring a ukulele or harmonica with you. Harmonica in the key of C is preferred.

Bethel’s School of the Arts is excited to announce their second Dinner Theater Event. Join us as we take a trip to the 1950’s for Food, Music and Fun! Invite your friends & family to the hottest spot in town, Uncle Phil’s Diner!
Performances are Saturday, February 18th at 1pm and 5:30pm, at Bethel Church – Chehalis Campus, 132 Kirkland Road (Exit 72).
Proceeds from the event will help provide stage lighting on Bethel Downtown/School of the Arts’ Liberty Theater upgraded stage at 413 N Tower Ave, Centralia.
Henna Art Basics with Susan Clark: Starting with the very basics of henna. What is it? How can you get the best stain? Simple lines, dots, and curves can make interesting patterns. Practicing holding Henna cone, creating designs, and then create a final piece on either canvas for framing or on your skin! Join in the fun and leave refreshed with the scent of lavender infused henna.

More Henna Art: Learn more advanced henna techniques, like varying line heaviness, creating leaves, symmetry and florals. After some practice with the henna cone, create a piece on either your own skin or a wooden plaque. Join in the fun and leave refreshed with the scent of lavender infused henna.
