Ballet Theatre of Washington will be premiering classic, full length, The Nutcracker at the Liberty Theater in Downtown Centralia, December 1-3. BTW company members, along with students from Centralia Ballet Academy, will present this traditional version of the holiday classic at the newly remodeled 100 year old theater located at 413 N Tower in Centralia. There will be a 7:00 p.m. performance on Friday December 1 and a 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. show on Saturday December 2. Sunday, there will be special 2:00 p.m. performance that will be perfect for families with young children. BTW will present a slightly abridged version of the ballet, along with providing special treats, crafts and a chance to meet and take pictures with the Nutcracker characters!

Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible.
