Travelers on State Route 6 in Lewis County should plan for daytime delays.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews and Boistfort Valley Water will replace a buried water main line on SR 6 between Clinton Street and Twin Oaks Road just west of Chehalis.
Replacing the buried water main helps ensure a reliable water supply and reduce the risk of leaks, breaks and unexpected water service disruptions.
What to expect
Monday, September 14 through Monday, October 12:
- Travelers in both directions of SR 6 between Clinton Road (milepost 45.6) and Twin Oaks Road (milepost 46.2) will take turns moving through a single lane daily from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Flaggers will direct travelers through the area.
Travelers should slow down, stay focused, and expect delays through the work zone.
