Construction is underway on a Comcast network expansion that will bring new high-speed internet options to nearly 1,000 homes and businesses in Napavine.
The project is designed to reach parts of the community that have historically had limited broadband choices. When construction is complete, residents and businesses will have access to multi-gigabit, symmetrical internet service, with fast upload and download speeds for remote work, virtual learning, streaming, gaming, and staying connected with family and friends. The expansion is expected to be completed in 2027.
“Napavine deserves the same fast, reliable internet access as larger cities, yet many residents and businesses still face limited options because of persistent rural broadband gaps,” said Keith Turner, senior vice president of Comcast in the Pacific Northwest. “Our agreement with the city to expand service in Napavine will be transformational for residents and businesses, and we’re proud to invest in Napavine’s future and bring the full power of fiber internet to this community.”
The expansion will make Xfinity residential services available locally, including internet, mobile, television, streaming, voice, and home security. Comcast Business will offer internet, mobile, cybersecurity, networking, cloud connectivity, and communications services for organizations ranging from small businesses to larger employers.
Napavine will join tens of thousands of homes and businesses already served by Comcast in Lewis County. The project is part of a broader series of network expansions underway in Washington communities, including Cheney, Duvall, Four Lakes, and Key Peninsula.
Comcast has also expanded its local presence in Lewis County. Earlier this year, the company opened its first Xfinity Store in Chehalis at Twin City Town Center West, 1433 NW Louisiana Avenue. There, customers can explore internet, mobile, and entertainment products; get assistance; and manage their services. Comcast also sponsored Chehalis’ Fourth of July celebration at Stan Hedwall Park.
Over the past three years, Comcast has invested $1.2 billion in network technology and infrastructure across Washington. In 2025, the company expanded high-speed internet access to an additional 45,000 homes and businesses statewide.
