As America’s 250th birthday approaches, Centralia, Chehalis, Pe Ell and beyond are preparing for a full lineup of Independence Day events. Returning favorites like Centralia’s Summerfest will join other area celebrations marking the historic and patriotic milestone. Here is a guide to 2026 Fourth of July fireworks and festivities for Lewis County.
Summerfest in Centralia
Celebrate the holiday with Summerfest on July 4, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., in downtown Centralia for a full day of family fun, live entertainment, local vendors, delicious food, and festive activities, culminating in an unforgettable parade finale. Highlights include a free pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Centralia College’s TransAlta Commons, a 5K fun run at 8:30 a.m. starting at the Centralia College clock tower, Borst Home tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., vendors at Pine Street Plaza from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., family fun and music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at George Washington Park, a fabulous foam party from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. also at the park, and the patriotic Summerfest parade at 4 p.m. in downtown Centralia.
America’s 250th 4th of July Celebration at Stan Hedwall Park
New this year, spend Independence Day in Chehalis at the America’s 250th 4th of July Celebration at Stan Hedwall Park. Gates open at 4 p.m., and there’s plenty to do while the family waits for the grande finale — a dazzling fireworks show at 10 p.m. Don’t forget to bring chairs! With a family area, live music, food vendors, and activities, this is an excellent opportunity to gather with the community and celebrate with loved ones.
Pe Ell 4th of July Festival
Not only is it America’s 250th Birthday, but it is also Pe Ell’s 120th Birthday in 2026. Celebrate both in charming downtown Pe Ell all weekend long. On Friday, July 3, enjoy a motorcycle show, live music by The Rock City Band, and try your skill at Lewis County Axe Throwing. On Saturday, July 4, there will be a classic car show, a patriotic parade, vendors including food, and a fireworks display at dark.

250 Years of Freedom in Mossyrock
Mossyrock will be awash with red, white and blue for the holiday as the cozy city is hosting an American pride competition where town spirit is displayed by businesses and residents. For the 4th of July, find the firefighter flapjack fundraiser at the firehouse from 7 to 9 a.m., a fun run on the Mossyrock Dam at 8:30 and 10 a.m., a kids’ bike race starting at 11 a.m., a time capsule and award ceremony at 1 p.m. at city hall, a block party on State Street with music from Josh Piper, fun games starting at 4 p.m. and square dancing at 6 p.m. until the sun goes down. At Mossyrock High School, view a fireworks exhibition after sunset.
Celebrate America’s 250th at Mineral Lake
Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground is hosting a 4th of July event starting at 3 p.m. featuring live music from Ron Mears at 7:30 p.m., line dancing, food vendors, a kids’ trout pond, family activities, and culminating with a patriotic fireworks display at dusk over the lake. Bring chairs for this patriotic lakeside celebration of America’s birthday. Want to camp? Book your site early, as they fill up.

Randle’s Big Bottom Blast
Celebrate the county’s patriotism early with the Randle Firefighters Association annual Big Bottom Blast on July 3 at White Pass High School. Students will be selling concessions including a bake sale, root beer floats, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Stick around for the big show with fireworks after dark.
Vader’s Red, White and Boom and Car Show
Vader is hopping on the 4th of July with its Red, White and Boom festivities featuring a car show, beer garden, apple pie baking contest, festive vendors, and a corn hole tournament. Enjoy the small-town vibes into the evening with a massive fireworks display after dark.
