This event is designed to inspire and empower young women by exploring the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) in a hands-on, engaging environment. For over 35 years, Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) has been dedicated to advancing representation of women, and more recently women of color and nonbinary people, in STEAM. The conference features keynote speakers and hands-on workshops led by women and trans and nonbinary leaders of all genders who are experts in their respective fields.
Our upcoming conference offers an incredible opportunity for students to experience a college campus for the very first time. It’s not just about exploring the world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics – it’s also about creating a safe and welcoming space where all students, especially women, trans and nonbinary individuals, can feel supported and valued. This conference aims to foster an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender identity or background, can thrive, connect, and explore their passions with confidence. We’re excited to provide a platform that celebrates diversity and empowers all students to be their authentic selves while engaging with STEAM in an open and encouraging setting.
Our STEAM Conference will feature interactive workshops, engaging activities, and inspiring guest speakers who will share their journeys and expertise in these fields. This is a wonderful opportunity for young girls to explore new interests, meet like-minded peers, and gain valuable insights into future career paths in STEAM.
