In the heart of Lewis County, a local entrepreneur is significantly impacting Lewis County and beyond with his new venture, Moon Insurance Agency, a Western Community Insurance Agency. Born and raised in Adna, Trevor Moon has transformed his connection to this community and agricultural experience into a business designed to serve farmers and ranchers. Western Community Insurance is not just about policies and premiums. It’s based on fostering trust, understanding the unique needs of the agricultural community, and providing unwavering support to farmers throughout Washington.
Growing and Cultivating Community in Lewis County
“My love for agriculture started when I was very young,” says Moon. His passion began in 4-H, where he developed a love for working with livestock and the farming community. Those early experiences weren’t just childhood fun. They sparked a deep love for the farming community with a lasting appreciation for the hard work and dedication it takes to keep agriculture thriving.
Today, Trevor and his wife, Bailey, raise registered Hereford and Simmental cattle on their ranch, a foundation that continues to shape his dedication to serving farmers and ranchers through Western Community Insurance.
Moon went on to graduate from Adna High School. His academic journey then took him to Centralia College and later to Central Washington University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. “My education provided me with the necessary tools to navigate the complex world of business,” Moon reflects. The skills and knowledge he acquired during his studies have been instrumental in his professional career.
Moon’s personal connection to agriculture has greatly influenced his professional endeavors. “Understanding the challenges and opportunities within my local agricultural community has been essential to my work,” he explains.
From Marketing to Farm and Ranch Insurance
Before venturing into the insurance industry, Moon ran his own marketing business, working closely with agricultural clients. “That really sparked my interest in the ag business sector,” says Moon.
His marketing experience gave him valuable insights into the agricultural community’s needs and challenges, shaping his approach to business. “Working with agricultural clients gave me a unique perspective on what people in this industry truly need,” Moon says.
The transition from marketing to insurance was a natural progression for Moon. “I realized that my skills and experience could be applied in a new way to better serve the agricultural community,” he says.
Licensed with Western Community Insurance
The opportunity to join Western Community Insurance became available for Moon. “I thought it was a perfect fit because it joined my ag background, my business expertise, and the commitment to serving the community,” he shares. This role allowed Moon to hone his skills and deepen his understanding of the insurance industry.
“My time with Western Community Insurance has been incredible,” says Moon. “A deep agricultural heritage is at the heart of everything we do. Their commitment to providing personalized, local service sets them apart, and I’m proud to be part of a team that truly understands and supports the needs of the farming community.”
A Farmer’s Heart and an Entrepreneur’s Mind
Fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit and a deep connection to agriculture, Moon is dedicated to providing tailored insurance services for the agricultural sector in Southwest Washington through Western Community Insurance. Recognizing the diverse needs of local farmers, Western Community Insurance offers a comprehensive range of insurance solutions, including farm and ranch insurance, equipment coverage, and liability insurance.
