Get Moving Monday with “Walk with a Doc”

Monday, September 9, 6 p.m.

Get up and get moving! Arbor Health doctors and other medical professionals are leading community walks in each of our clinic-home communities—Packwood, Randle, Morton and Mossyrock. These walks will be pleasure strolls—not mountain climbing—designed for the casual walker. This is an opportunity to connect with your neighbors and see some scenery while “getting moving.”

Random Acts of Kindness: For Benefits All Around

Thursday, September 12, serves as the kickoff

Research shows that helping others can be good for our own mental health as well. It reduces stress, improves our emotional well-being and even benefits our physical health. In short, doing good does you good, too. We invite and encourage area residents to make a conscious effort to spread kindness—open a door, extend a compliment, pay for the person’s coffee behind you in the drive-thru, send a thank you card, mow a lawn, deliver a meal to a single elderly person… Let’s focus on kindness!

Registered finishers will receive a water bottle, T-shirt (if registered by August 28) and finisher’s medal. In addition, winner medals will be awarded to top finishers!
