The Centralia College Foundation is now accepting applications for 2023-24 scholarships. Among this year’s offerings include a series of four one-time scholarships that honor Colby Braaten, a 13-year-old Adna boy who passed away suddenly in 2017.

There are four scholarships of $1,500 each. One will be awarded to a baseball player, one to a nursing student, one to a bachelor’s degree student, and one to a student in financial need.

“Colby will always be in our thoughts. He was a great kid with an easy smile, a caring heart, and had a wonderful sense of humor,” said the donor. “These scholarships are a tribute to his legacy. He loved playing sports, with baseball being his favorite. Colby would have graduated from Adna High School this year, and in his memory, we are empowering others on the path to pursuing their dreams.”

  • Chief Robert Berg Endowed Scholarship
