The Sweetheart Dinner Train is a romantic getaway perfect to celebrate love. Ride along the scenic Chehalis River Valley while a four-course dinner is served in a 1920s restored dinner railcar. For two weekends the train leaves the depot at 4:30 p.m. on February 8 – 9 and 15 – 16. This unique experience is a trip back in time and will leave your loved one with a precious memory forever. Tickets are $65 and available online up to four days before the event.
Show your love a fun night at Adna Grange’s Spaghetti & Bluegrass Fundraiser for Steam Engine #15. This fun fundraiser on February 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. is to raise money for the repairs necessary to get Engine #15 back on the track. Cost is a donation. Hear songs about trains from Fern Hill Bluegrass Band and buy a CD with “Old Number 15” created for the event. Adna Grange #417 is at 123 Dieckman Rd. in Adna.
Pe Ell Pub invites couples or singles to join them for Valentine’s Day Prime Rib Dinner from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prime rib is served with baked potato, salad, veggie, roll and dessert for $20.99. Find Pe Ell Pub at 205 N. Main St. in Pe Ell.
Bateaux Cellars hosts a lovely Red Wine and Chocolate Pairing for two evenings. On Valentine’s Day Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. enjoy seven red wine and chocolate truffle pairings with truffles from Dragonfly Chocolates. End with a nightcap and special chocolate dessert pairing. Also, choose a full glass of any of their red wines and full-sized truffle. The ambiance is perfect for the special occasion complete with flowers and music. Tickets are $50 per couple and space is limited on both nights.
