To harness the power of women’s philanthropy and volunteerism in Lewis County, United Way launched a new initiative that brings like-minded women together to support United Way’s goal of lifting 30% out of poverty by 2030. Women United is comprised of a vibrant group of women who bring passion, expertise, and empowerment to improve our community. They are bound together by the belief in each other, to United Way’s mission and to Lewis County. This United Way affinity group is the first of its kind in Lewis County.
“Women United is an exciting opportunity to gather as women, make a difference in the community where we live and work, and support United Way at the same time,” states Women United President, Annalee Tobey. “Together, we can support each other and accomplish so much.”
Anyone with a passion for helping women and children living in poverty can join Women United. The purpose of this group is to bring together our area’s women leaders; leverage their time, talent and resources and build stronger families in Lewis County. There is no membership fee to join.
To learn more about Women United, join the team for its inaugural gathering, ‘Wine & Wisdom” taking place Wednesday, September 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Shire Bar & Bistro in Chehalis. The event is open to anyone and free to attend. For more info, follow Women United on Facebook and Instagram and visit www.womenunitedlc.com.
