So grab your favorite person and chase away those blues with a night of red roses and romance. There is something for everyone’s tastes and budget on this list.

Valentine’s Day Dinner at Jeremy’s Farm to Table

On the very night of Valentine’s Day itself, Jeremy’s Farm too Table is having a flavorful five-course dinner with live entertainment. The courses include wine and cheese tasting, appetizers, soup or salad, your choice of two entrees, and a choice of a delectable dessert. Live entertainment will be provided by Justin and Lucy Page, Clarissa Gifford and Jeremy Wildhaber. Cost is $65 per guest and reservations are required. Call 360-487-4417 to reserve your table. “Moon Over Buffalo” at the Evergreen Playhouse

If you’re looking for a night out on the weekend before or after Valentine’s Day, check out the Evergreen Playhouse’s performance of “Moon Over Buffalo.” A comedic play about almost has-been actors in the 1950s who manage to blunder everything, including what might be their last chance at fame. Performances are on Friday, Saturday and Sundays – with a special Actor’s Benefit Pay-What-You-Can on Thursday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. So even if you are strapped for cash, you can still have a nice date night. Tickets can be purchased at the Evergreen Playhouse website. The theater is located at 226 W Center Street, Centralia.

“Vanya And Sonya And Mash And Spike” at the Tiller Arts Center

This play offers another opportunity to go out on the weekends before and after Valentine’s Day. It’s the story of middle-aged bickering siblings, love and a house they share. The Tiller Arts Center also has a Pay-What-You-Can (show only) on February 10. Other showings offer the option of dinner or lunch along with the performance. Tickets for meals and a show must be purchased in advance. They can be purchased at the Roxy Theater website. The Roxy Theater is located at 239 Main Avenue, Morton.

Valentine’s Dinner Train at the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum

For those who have to celebrate a bit early, the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum’s dinner train on February 11 offers the epitome of romance. The train departs at 4:00 p.m. from 1101 SW Sylvenus Street, Chehalis, so you can enjoy the sunset as you travel by train through our lovely county. The ride lasts two hours and includes a dinner with three entrée choices as well as a glass of champagne or sparkling grape juice. Pre-paid reservations are required. The cost is $105 per couple or $55 for an individual. Seating is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 360-748-9593 Wednesdays or Fridays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Dinner and a Movie at the Historic Chehalis Theatre

The Historic Chehalis Theatre at 558 N Market in Chehalis is definitely a romantic setting if you are looking for an all-inclusive date night on Valentine’s Day. The movie is “An Affair to Remember” – can’t get much more romantic than that. To accompany it, they have a three-course dinner planned including appetizers, a main course, dessert and champagne. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $30 per person for dinner and the movie. Just the movie is $5 (8:00 p.m.); or movie, dessert and champagne is $15. Centralia Rollerdrome

If you are looking for something a little less formal than a multi-course meal and need a more flexible timeframe, a date night at the Centralia Rollerdrome is not only fun, it’s inexpensive. Get a group together and make your own Valentine’s Day party. There is no public session Saturday, February 11 due to the Derby Bout. The Centralia Rollerdrome is located at 216 W Maple Street, Centralia.

Heritage Kung Fu & Tai Chi Valentine’s Kids Night

Washington Bluegrass Association Concert at the Veteran’s Memorial Museum

On February 11, you and your sweetie can enjoy the amazing musical talents of Whiskey Deaf, a Portland blue grass group featuring six-time National Fiddle Champion John Melnichuk. Doors open at the museum at 6:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Veterans Memorial Museum. They can only take cash or check. The show takes place at 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis.

I-5 Valentine’s Wine Mixer

Kick off your Valentine plans with the 12th annual 1-5 Valentine’s Wine Mixer on February 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at I-5 Toyota at 1950 NW Louisiana Avenue in Chehalis. This free event includes beverages and appetizers, a fashion show, and booths and services from local business for your enjoyment. And of course, they will be unveiling this year’s raffle car! There will also be a silent auction benefitting local scholarships.

Movie & Arcade at Midway Cinema

There is nothing simpler than a night at the movies. Yet for many of us, it’s the quintessential date night. So catch one of the latest releases with your special someone and then spend some time in their brand new Extreme Arcade – an all-around a perfect evening and one that you can do whenever you have time for a bit of romance, whether on Valentine’s Day or the weekend before or after.
