On July 4, 1900, Tacoma experienced one of the worst trolley disasters in the United States. Russell Holter has spent 17 years meticulously researching the accident and will share the story. Books will be available for purchase.
The 4th Annual Southwest Washington Writers Conference will feature two keynote speakers, 18 writing workshops, and networking opportunities for local professional and aspiring writers. Keynoters include award-winning authors Robert Dugoni and Mike Lawson. Dugoni is the New York Times bestselling author of the Tracy Crosswhite series and the critically acclaimed David Sloane series. Lawson, a former senior civilian executive for the U.S. Navy, is creator of the nine novels in the Joe DeMarco series as well as the Kay Hamilton novels.
