Did you know that Winlock was one of the top producers of eggs in the world in its earlier years? There’s a yearly festival that pays homage to that heritage each June: Winlock Egg Days!
For two days, Winlock comes alive in celebration. A parade functions as the centerpiece of the celebration that also includes tours of the Winlock Historical Museum, classic car and tuner shows, and the time-honored tradition of feeding attendees with egg salad sandwiches.
The Egg Day Queen coronation takes place on the first evening of the festival, with the Queen serving as the living logo of the celebration for the next calendar year.
This year’s celebration of Egg Days takes place June 17-18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The big parade is June 18 at 11 a.m. in downtown Winlock.

About Katie: As a lifelong athlete, figure skater and long distance runner, Katie started practicing yoga in 2009 as a way to supplement her marathon training. Though finishing the race was the goal, yoga was the gift, and she quickly fell into a regular daily practice. Yoga felt natural in her body and it had brought back fund memories of her figure skating days, in a way that running never did. She completed a 200 hour teacher training in 2012 and immediately started teaching. After all the years of being coached and instructed, it was easy for Katie to slip into the roll of instructor. Very quickly she became known for her signature style of easy to follow alignment cues, mindful sequencing and making her classes accessible for all levels.
