This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
We’ll discuss the wide world of unusual and underappreciated fruits, including quince, medlar, persimmon, mulberry and the elusive Sorbus domestica (aka “chocolate pear”). We will also talk about the benefits of planting rare trees and what you can do with the fruit.
Join nutritionist Ashley McEntyre, as she walks you through healthy recipes featuring fall produce from local farm: Newaukum Valley Farm. Attendees take home a box of beautiful produce to cook for themselves–a $25 value!

Delight in the fragrance of delicious gingerbread cookies you will bake with Makayla Roberson of Mak’s Snack Shack! While your cookies are baking in the oven, you will decorate previously baked gingerbread cookies with royal icing and fun toppings! One adult chef and one child chef (age 5-8) per registration can enjoy this winter celebration that is sure to awaken your internal baking show contestant!
