The festival officially starts on Friday, but the jammin’ and camping begins on Thursday!

Bands interested in being considered for the 2018 festival may submit music samples and band press kit (including band bios and photos) by December 31, 2017. Submit them to WAMA at info@wamamusic.com .

Blueberry Festival @ Mossyrock

From blueberry pie to blueberry donuts, the food offerings relating to Mossyrock’s most abundant crop are plentiful at the annual Mossyrock Blueberry Festival. And aside from food, there’s so much to do and enjoy in the heart of Lewis County!

The event, organized and run by the Mossyrock Area Action League, brings the community together over the first weekend in August annually for a celebration that includes live music, a parade, pie-eating contests for all ages, and so much more each year.

The Logging Show at Jubilee Arena attracts competitors in such events as log rolling, choker setting, axe throwing, speed climbing, bed races that go from one city block to the next, lawnmower races at Jubilee Arena and a 10K run. Two parades offer entertainment for all ages.

The big attraction this year is Morton native and nationally-renowned country artist Brandy Clark, who will perform at 7 p.m. Aug. 12 in Jubilee Arena.

Hosted by the Shelton Skookum Rotary Club Foundation and attended by thousands, OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official seafood festival.

The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu: BBQ oysters, fritters, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, fresh cider and so much more. Better yet, your culinary adventure supports about 100 local non-profit service clubs and organizations, as well as funding scholarships and local community improvement projects.
