ll are welcome to pay their tribute and respects in this ceremony. At 2 p.m., the Museum will host a Veterans Tree of Life Celebration at the museum itself, 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis. The Westminster Bells, a bell choir from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chehalis, will perform a benefit concert. Come join local military veterans, their families and members of our community in thanking those who paid for our freedom with the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day.

Kids’ Day is fun for all. Expect lots of activities and prizes, as well as bounce houses, balloon twisting, and a huge prize drawing are part of the excitement. Emergency vehicles are on hand for kids to see and learn about. This event features free hot dogs, ice cream, fruit, snacks, and drinks for kids (and by donation for adults).

Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible.
