Coast for Kids

Submitted by Women United

When temperatures turn colder, not everyone has the resources to stay warm. Join Women United and keep hundreds of Lewis County kids warm this winter by donating a new coat to the “Coats for Kids” coat drive. Through December 31, 2020, donate a new coat to underprivileged kids in Lewis County.

Drop off your donations at any of these nine participating businesses:

• Black Dog Pottery, Centralia
• Blanton’s Market, Packwood
• Cardinal FG, Winlock
• Cedar Village IGA, Winlock
• Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, Chehalis
• Dawn’s Delectables, Centralia
• Fairway Collections, LLC, Centralia
• Umpqua Bank, Chehalis
• United Way of Lewis County, Chehalis (call ahead)

All donations will benefit children in the Winlock and White Pass School Districts, where the need is most acute. Coats from pre-K through high school are appreciated, for both girls and boys.

“Several local fundraisers that normally support kids in our school districts have been canceled due to the pandemic,” explained Women United Chair Annalee Tobey. “We are asking folks to give generously this year. Let’s fill up every dropbox with coats and get them to the kids who need them.”

Monetary donations are also welcome. Stop by the United Way of Lewis County office in downtown Chehalis to donate to the ‘Coats for Kids’ Coat Drive today. You can help keep Lewis County kids warm this winter.
