The Lewis Economic Development Council (LEDC) has partnered with the Lewis County Commissioners to provide a COVID-19 Economic Impact Grant program for nonprofit organizations and businesses impacted by COVID-19.

The COVID-19 Economic Impact Grants are emergency grants of up to a maximum of $75,000 for nonprofit organizations and small businesses negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. To be eligible, applicants must employ no more than 25 employees. The COVID-19 Economic Impact Grant Program has a total of $500,000 to award to eligible nonprofits and businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent stay-at-home orders.

EDC Chair Dan Rich stated, “As the Lewis EDC continues to provide a pathway for economic stability within Lewis County, we are working with the Lewis County government for the next round of grants that will help provide assistance to nonprofits and small businesses within Lewis County.”

The grant application timeline is limited, and this may be the last opportunity to apply for grant funds through the Coronavirus Relief Funds. • Nonprofit organizations OR businesses must be located in Lewis County
• With no more than 25 employees
• Your organization has been negatively impacted since March 1, 2020 due to COVID-19

This is a grant program, so no payback is required. However, funds can only be used for services that took place between March 1, 2020, and October 27, 2020. Eligible uses include: rent, utilities, mortgage, payroll and PPE as well as supply costs incurred for compliance with social distancing regulations.
