In what has become an annual tradition, Twin Transit employees came together again this year and collected “a bus load of food” for the community’s local food bank. Each December our employees collect and donate several hundreds of pounds of food and other household items to the KELA/KMNT Food and Toy Drive.

“As bus drivers, our employees often see first-hand the needs in our community and it’s a real pleasure to be able to give more than just a ride to those who need our help,” says Aaron Rollins, Twin Transit Operations Manager. The food drive is spearheaded by Peggy Haase, a 26 year employee of Twin Transit who says, “it’s wonderful to work with such kind hearted employees who are so willing to give back to the community.”

On December 21, 22 and 23 Twin Transit will be providing Christmas light tours beginning at 6:00 p.m. Each night buses will tour local neighborhoods observing colorfully decorated homes and businesses. Reservations are recommended for passengers who use wheelchairs as each bus can accommodate two devices.

“Christmas light tours are a wonderful way for our residents with mobility challenges to enjoy the beautiful displays,” says Aaron Rollins, Operations Manager.

Tours start/end at the Centralia Amtrak Depot and last about one hour; return trips home will be provided afterward for those who cannot travel to the Amtrak Depot by car.
